How My Crafty Business collects, uses and shares personal information
My Crafty Business • Created by Deb McDevitt
Effective / Revised: September 17, 2026 · Contact details updated September 19, 2026
1. Information we may collect
Contact information such as name, email address, phone number, business name and social profile information you provide.
Transaction information such as product purchased, amount, date, billing status, receipt/transaction identifiers, refund or dispute status, and affiliate attribution. Payment-card details are generally processed by the payment platform and are not intended to be stored directly by My Crafty Business.
Account and community information such as Skool membership status, course access, posts, comments, messages sent to admins, event registrations, and support requests.
Business information you voluntarily enter into worksheets, forms, surveys, calls, or support messages.
Technical information such as device/browser information, IP address, cookies, referral parameters, and basic analytics when those tools are used.
Affiliate information such as referral links/codes, referred transactions, commission status, payout/identity status handled by the platform, and compliance communications.
2. How we use information
Process purchases, provide access, deliver files, manage memberships, and provide customer support.
Operate the Skool community, courses, calls, announcements, and customer communications.
Prevent fraud, duplicate purchases, unauthorized sharing, abuse, and payment disputes.
Administer affiliate referrals, attribution, commissions, reversals, and compliance.
Send transactional messages and, where permitted, marketing messages that you requested or consented to receive.
Improve products, understand demand, troubleshoot access, and maintain business records.
Comply with tax, accounting, payment, legal, safety, and regulatory obligations and respond to lawful requests.
3. Payments
Payments may be processed through Skool, Stripe, or another disclosed processor. Those providers may collect payment credentials, identity information, billing details, tax information, fraud-prevention information, and other data under their own privacy terms. My Crafty Business generally receives transaction and status information needed to fulfill the purchase, support the customer, or administer a refund or dispute.
4. Affiliate tracking
When the affiliate program is enabled, referral links, cookies, codes, or platform attribution may be used to identify whether a purchase or membership came from an affiliate. The affiliate platform may retain referral and payout information under its own policies. Affiliate tracking is used to administer commissions and prevent abuse, not to promise manual reassignment of referrals.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our website or third-party platforms may use cookies or similar technologies for login, checkout, security, affiliate attribution, preferences, and analytics. Browser settings may allow you to block some cookies, but doing so may interfere with checkout, login, affiliate attribution, or other functions.
6. When information may be shared
Service providers that help us operate payments, community access, email, file delivery, analytics, customer support, video meetings, security, tax/accounting, or business administration.
Affiliates only to the extent necessary to report referral/commission status; we do not intend to provide affiliates with customer payment credentials.
Professional advisers, insurers, accountants, or legal representatives when reasonably necessary.
Government authorities, courts, regulators, payment networks, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, prevent fraud, or respond to disputes.
A successor or buyer in a business reorganization, sale, or transfer, subject to applicable law.
7. We do not sell personal information for money
My Crafty Business does not currently sell personal information for monetary payment. If our data practices materially change, this policy will be updated and any required notices or choices will be provided.
8. Marketing communications
You may unsubscribe from promotional email using the unsubscribe method provided in the message or by contacting us. Transactional, purchase, access, security, billing, and legally required messages may still be sent when necessary. Marketing email should accurately identify the sender, avoid deceptive subject lines, provide a valid opt-out method, and include the required business mailing information.
9. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for product delivery, membership administration, support, tax/accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, affiliate accounting, legal obligations, and enforcement of licenses or contracts. Retention periods vary by data type and service provider.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical practices appropriate to a small online business and rely on established platforms for payment and community functions. No internet transmission, account, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send full payment-card numbers, passwords, or unnecessary sensitive information by email or community message.
11. Children
My Crafty Business products and paid accounts are intended for adults purchasing for business or educational use. We do not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children under 13 through our business services. Adults operating children’s craft events remain responsible for their own participant privacy, consent, and safety obligations.
12. Your choices and privacy requests
You may contact deb@mycraftybusiness.com to ask about personal information My Crafty Business controls, request correction, or make another privacy request. We may need to verify identity before acting. Rights vary by jurisdiction, and we will honor rights that apply and cannot legally be waived. Requests concerning data controlled independently by Skool, Stripe, or another provider may need to be directed to that provider.
13. International and state-specific rights
Privacy rights differ by location. If a law gives you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, opt out, or appeal a privacy decision, My Crafty Business will respond as required after reasonable verification. This policy is not intended to limit any right that applicable law gives you.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our tools, platforms, or practices change. The revised date will be updated. Material changes will be communicated when required by law.
