Educational information only
My Crafty Business provides business education, examples, planning tools, templates, and customizable communications. It is not legal, tax, accounting, medical, clinical, childcare, alcohol-service, insurance, engineering, or financial advice. It does not replace qualified professionals who can review your location, event, contracts, insurance, licenses, and circumstances.
No income or business-result guarantee
No income, profit, bookings, venues, customers, leads, event attendance, sales, or business success is promised. Examples are illustrations, not forecasts. Customers choose their own materials, suppliers, expenses, prices, discounts, marketing, contracts, events, and implementation. Results vary, and a purchaser may earn no profit.
You remain responsible for your business and events
My Crafty Business and Deb McDevitt do not become your event organizer, venue operator, employer, partner, agent, insurer, alcohol provider, childcare provider, security provider, or safety supervisor. You are responsible for appropriate business structure, permits, insurance, contracts, accessibility, privacy, consumer rules, employment rules, alcohol rules, raffles/prize promotions, food rules, fire/occupancy rules, and other requirements that apply to your activities.
Children and activities
A child-friendly craft or game is not childcare. Unless lawful childcare has been separately arranged, the responsible parent, guardian, or designated adult remains responsible for the child. Activities must be age-appropriate, reasonably supervised, and adjusted or stopped when conditions are unsafe.
Alcohol and “sip” events
The word “sip” does not promise or require alcohol. Alcohol should be served only when the venue or approved provider confirms that service is lawful, licensed, insured, and allowed for that event. The craft instructor should not purchase, pour, sell, distribute, or monitor alcohol unless independently authorized, trained, and insured to do so.
Safety, insurance and contracts
No disclaimer can eliminate legal duties or guarantee zero liability. Inspect venues and materials, use reasonable precautions, allocate responsibilities in writing, carry appropriate insurance, follow venue procedures, and obtain local professional review when needed. A waiver is not a substitute for safe conduct, supervision, insurance, or compliance.
Third-party examples and platforms
References to venues, platforms, laws, prices, products, suppliers, or practices may change. Verify current rules and conditions before relying on an example. My Crafty Business does not control Skool, Stripe, social platforms, venues, vendors, suppliers, or governmental authorities.
